Onesimus we all know now who he is.

From his prison cell Paul shared the good news of Christ with this runaway, and God's dramatically increased his value. Suddenly this slave became "my son... very dear to me.... useful...a dear brother...my very heart"

We who carry the love of God within us have the power to increase value from useless to useful, from slave to dear brother or sister. This is the joyous privilege of friendship in Christ.

Friendships- a gift from the Lord As I was listening to the sermon, I began to reflect on how God is so faithful by blessing me with beautiful friendships. Let me try to share what I mean by using the points from the sermon. These friends share an Intimacy with me: There is a Closeness that we share because our faith allows us to go just beyond the shallow and share about the more personal and deep things because we know the other will be praying for us. These sisters walk their talk and as a result have Cared for me and taught me to care as well.
